TomTom - alternative to windscreen mount?

Am planning on treating myself to a Tomtom GO 530 – but, the one downside is the mount – I don’t want a holder that fits on the windscreen.
Searching around I’ve found the Arkon Friction Dash Mount. Does anyone use one of these – or can recommend something similar?

I have a Herbert Richter Sat Nav Car Kit Holder 1627 and use a beanbag dash mount with it. Works great and I can hide it away easily.

Have now ordered the GO 530 and also the Arkon Friction Dash Mount plus the Car Kit Holder 1627. So am now a very happy bunny!

I'd just like to add that having read this thread about the Arkon Friction Dash Mount i've now bought one and the mount that comes with it.
It's by miles far better that the TT windscreen mount that came with my GO530, i was so peed off with the thing falling off as i was driving that i just had to find something that was better than TT's
