I have Garmin Mobile Xt on Htc Diamond and it's running fine but I want to add a map; a gmapsupp.img. I tried to put it directly in internal storage but there is already an icon with the same name and couldn't. I also tried to upload it in Mapsource but couldn't. I also tried to convert it so that it would be readable with mapsource but I was not successful. Programs I found on the internet were a bit too advanced and couldn't work properly with my in built agps. E.g. one problem was that the program couldn't synchronise with the gps even though it was synced via activesync.
Anyways, to cut the long story short, anyone knows how to import/convert the gmapsupp.img file and some other poi file to my gps please? |

I thought new Garmin Maps came on a DVD which included the relevant software for installation onto the devices? Can't you just use that?

For your information I have the dvd. But Malta's detailed map is not included at all. I got hold of a .img file and was trying to see what I can do with that considering that Tomtom 7, Igo 8 and Copilot 7 do not include Malta...and they say they have the western european map. So where the heck is Malta? |
