Hi

I have an XDA orbit II, AKA HTC touch cruise, and having some problems / questions with CP 7.

I have installed the PGPSW safety camera file a few times and followed the instructions but am I right in thinking that each time I have to reload any other POI's I have in addition to camera's? (I delete the ao files and then transfer PGPSW files and my own customer POI's)

Also does anyone else find that the alerts are very intermittent? Prior to this I was a TomTom user and never saw a fixed camera that didn't alert.

With CPL sometimes it will alert, but more often that not it won't. (These are long time fixed sites by the way which Tom Tom never missed.)

Thanks

Tuppe

not sure about the poi files...

but

the 'missing' alerts could be due to the direction/heading data. i found that if you are not navigating you miss quite a few warnings as CP7 does not 'know' what your future heading should be. if a camera is around a corner then at the 500yard warning point your heading will not 'line up' so you have no warning. if you were navigating though then CP7 would 'know' that you pass the camera en-route at the correct heading to trigger the alert...

Hi all (esp Tuppe and MaFt)

Yes, I find exactly the same with my Xda Orbit 2/CP7 combo - one camera in particular that I pass every day (No 985, Farmoor, Oxon, 40mph single-directional heading 120) NEVER alerts when I am heading eastbound (i.e. in the 'catch' direction, and navigating) but ALWAYS alerts when travelling westbound - this is despite the camera icon itself always displaying correctly (I'm not sure if that is one of those that uses CP7 heading data though).

I'd love to know why...

Leon

I found similar randomness with the O2 bundled version of CoPilot7 but after installing the standard CP7 update - http://www.alk.eu.com/files/v7/7.7.0.134.zip - the randomness appeared to disappear. Despite this ALK still insist to me that the O2 version is up to date and has no issues.
