I have a 720 and also a Parrot in my car. I think the key is how noisy your car is.
I've tried it in my Zafira - not too good really. Too much noise and the internal speaker is too tinny to hear clearly at motorway speeds. My Parrot in the same car is loud, crisp and clear and a no brainer locking on to my phone every time.
In my motorhome it's no go but then again any handsfree would be useless as it's an old 1988 based on a Fiat Ducato 2.5ltr 'tractor'.
Fiance's BMW 525 - piece of cake. The car is so whisper quiet that it works fine even at high speed albeit with limited quality from the speaker.
So it really is a case of ambient noise really IMHO. I see it as a useful function for times I'm in a hire car etc but I wouldn't swap the dedicated parrot for in in a million years. Plus, your TT has to be on at all times. I get handsfree even if I pop down the road with my phone in my pocket. _________________ Tom Tom GO 720

Hi
I have a 920T with a Nokia 6300 and it is great, I really like it, phone book listing as well !!
The only strange thing is when I make a call I don't here the ring tone of the person I have rung, the first thing I here is the person saying hello. Is this just mine doing this or are all TT hands free setups the same ?

I have not been here for the last 2 months or so (in hospital) but before i went in i done a new list of phones that worked on various TT models. If you post what type you were thinking of i could see if it is compatible for you.
Good to be back though. _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)

My Nokia 6300 sets up and works perfect...But... when the TT is reading the phone book the phone display says it can't communicate with the 920T and nothing has been copied, but it is copied, and the phone book is in the TT and as i have said works perfect

Same for me if I use the phone to initiate the call, initiate it from the TT and it will ring.
