Hi I wonder if anyone can help, Since the new software I have not been able to use the Track up / north Up button as when I press it it does nothing, Im using the Southern UK map
can anyone help.

The new advanced power management is enabled by default in v1.16 of the software. When ON, this disables Track Up, forcing you to use North Up only.
If you want to use Track Up, go into the power management settings and select the normal power management option. |

I was also trying to figure out why I could not alter the map orientation with the North up/Trail up button.

Isn't it a pity the Satmap manual doesn't say this!!! |

Are you saying that the upgrade should change all the sttings to default?
All my options, settings and routes (not on SD) remained. As did the last location and zoom level.
I just want to be sure that the upgrade installed properly.
I had an issue a few months ago with routes dissapearing. Satmap told me that this happened on occasions and the fix was to do a factory reset. My last location and some other settings survived this as well. |

| I can't comment on lukevans post but from memory I believe the 1.2 upgrade did reset everything to default while as you say the 1.3 upgrade seems to have left my settings unchanged. |
