|
|
I was having a look at the new TomTom "Create your own" website when this page caught my eye about making larger icons that flash in the top left corner instead of expanding the standard icon.
I've had a go and it works great. I've even started expanding my own icon set. The large icon is named the same as the standard one but with _X2 at the end of the filename (before the .bmp).
Here's how it looks on screen:
a lot clearer than before.
So far I've just done the different camera types for the UK speed limit set but I'll do some more in time. They can be downloaded from
My site.
For comparison some standard icons stretched as used for the alert:
... and the larger ones:

There is now a 44x44 UK set available. Personally, I would choose this over the 48x48 even if your device can cope with it on two counts. One, it doesn't get distorted when used in a menu and two, it's got a nicer circle. _________________ Gerry

Once you get started, it's easy to do the rest. Unfortunately, I do have too much free time at present. _________________ Gerry
