go 300

hi.. im a newby so bare with me....

can any other versions be used on the go300.... ie can the go500/700 software be used on the 300?

can mapshare be used at all on the 300?

Welcome to the forum, you can use MapShare on your device IF you have the latest application (version 7 software) and a map that is version 675 or newer, the new application is free, the map will cost you though - Mike

The operating software is common to all three (older versions of Home used to identify the software as Application for GO300/500/700. You can't use maps from another device on yours - maps are locked to the particular device they were bought for (copyright/piracy).

Mapshare is useable on the 300 only after you upgrade the software (free of charge download, using TomTom Home) and upgrade your map (buy one, version 7.10, tonight or tomorrow at half price, download from TomTom website via TT Home - half price offer ends tomorrow).

Have you done backups of your GO300? Using Windows Explorer?
