|

I have been given a satnav gps . It is a Myguide 3100. I cannot find any mention of it on the forums. Is it a generic make. Can you help me find what software i should be downloading for it. Is there any other one out there which is compatable??
ALL help will be greatly appreciated. |

I can't help but this information might help someone else help you.

The manual CLICK HERE (PDF - 3.38 Mb) does mention POIs but only the built in ones. |

It also mentions near the end of the Manual about Custom POIs, but says nothing about being able to Import/Export them. Only that they can be created on the Device.
It would be necessary to Create one and see if it can be transferred to the PC, and then to see what format it requires. _________________ Richard

Yes you can place them individually. I was really after some info on updating maps or instaling international / european maps and gps. I couldn,t get info on what to download and what was compatable with this system. Would TomTom be ok? or is some other system compatable??
ANY help is appreciated |

ANY help is appreciated | In that case I'll move the Topic to what might be a more appropriate Forum. _________________ Richard

It looks like it's running an implementation of iGo (see forum elswhere on this site) - so you may be able to get maps from them. Looking at the info on the site referenced above it's an older imlementation - date shown on screen 'capture' is 2003. It should come with lots of European countries loaded according to the blurb. _________________ Phil |

|
|
I looked at the IGO site. Seems that my handset is excluded. tried it anyway and got a "hardware compatibility error".
Is there any way that I could clear out the handset, and reinstall igo from new??
I checked the myguide website. It doesn't offer upgrades and doesn't reply to emails to their support dept. So I am stuck
Any help gratefully appreciated |
