Orange M3100 ROM Update to cure freezing TTN6

Seems to work ok with mine. Tom Tom hasn't frozern in last 2 weeks although I have been aborad and not used it much. Seems better in the menus though which would freeze regularly under last ROM and any TTN6 version.

UPDATE:

4 weeks in and can report the following:
Looks like the usual issues of updating devices apply. The upgrade gives with one hand and takes with the other!

As far as TomTom goes, freezing seems less frequent but i have seen it twice since updating the ROM. However, it is certainly less frequent now.

New issues: Sometimes at TT startup it will say No GPS device for an eternity then eventually after 5 mins find it. My Holux GPS unit is permanently on and didn't exhibit this behaviour before so the fault must lie in the new ROM.

I now occasionally start up TTN6 and get the licence agreement followed by 'no maps' message. Reinserting SD or soft reset fixes but it's annoying (reminds me of the old Destinator issue a while back).

So in short, it's good news and bad news.

Bear in mind this relates to the Orange ROM and doesn't mean you'll have the same with other HTC TyTyn variants which were chugging along nicely enough before!
