|
|
Hi,
I have a SharpXG29 mobile phone that is compatible with my TT710, up to a certain point.
What it can’t do is connect to the phones contact list, so that I can make a call from the 710. I can go to the recent called list but that just gives a long list of mobile numbers. Very confusing.
My question is………….. Can I create a POI with my contacts therein, as in David, Jim, etc. rather than a long list of numbers. If so, how?
In plain English please. (I’m a little thick when it comes to terminology.)
Thanks for any help, RoystonB |

You could create a POI list using the device and then entering the phone numbers one at a time, this is very time consuming and will display the results in a non alphabetical order.
What I suggest you do is use note pad on the PC to compile a file containing your contacts, the text layout needs to be:
"Contacts Name/M","01234567890"
"Next Contacts Name","01234567890"
" Contact with 2 numbers Name/W","01234567890"
"Contact with 2 numbers Name/M","01234567890"
The text must be as layed out above with the speech marks etc. once complete save the file as contacts.txt, then copy this file to the folder named contacts in the root of your device.
Now you can use the phone number list option on the 710 - I am not too sure if there is another way to extract the numbers from your phone to further simply this, but I would start with a list of say 4 names/ numbers try the above method, then once you have worked out where files go etc. it will just take time to compile the list - Mike |
