There's a directory something like My Documents\ TomTom\ Home\ Downloads\.
But if you're a bit handy, simply download them, then copy them into your map directory with drag 'n drop. _________________ Dennis

Sorry, I meant to say "Welcome" and "Have you backed up yet"? If not, DO IT NOW. _________________ Dennis

You can only use the TomTom Home application for installing the speed camera POI files, if you are trying to install other custom POI's then use Windows Explorer.
Unzip the POI download to reveal the individual files.
Each POI file comprises of a bmp file (the icon/ image) and an associated ov2 file (the positional data), both these files (per POI category you want to install) need to be placed in your GB Map Folder on the device.
Don't go over the top with the quantity of custom POI files there is a limit of 100 individual categories, any more than this and you won't see all the POI files that you have installed - Mike |

Can I safely delete the tom tom speed cam POI's ready installed on the 910 I just purchased (using TT home) and will that free up more space for me to install my own POI's - both speed cams and selections from your new general list?
Yes I have backed up. |

You shouldn't have to worry too much about space on a 910, ;) but HOME is the best way to delete TT's own cams.
In general POI's don't take up a lot of space. _________________ Richard

Hi, and thanks for the reply.
I only asked because in another thread, someone mentioned that the 910 was limited to 100 POI's.
So it's OK to delete the POI's in my original posting? |

There is a limit of 100 POI's in TomTom V6.xxx, but the new way that TT does the Speed Cameras means that they don't count towards the number of POI's allowed. _________________ Richard
