pin 570 and memory map

Hi, I have a pin 570 and have installed memory map software and also installed maps onto separate memory card.
I can not get the pin570 to show the gps location on the memory map software.
I had a Medion pda which I used in a similar way with no problems.
Can anyone advise on the relevant settings to activate the gps??

You need to switch on the GPS port. Unlike Smart ST, the Memory Map software does not switch on the GPS signal when it is started. This nugget is quite well hidden in the instruction book.

Settings - GPS - ON

The orange GPS receiving light should now flash.

You may well get a lock now.

If not, in Memory Map,

GPS - Setup: Manufacturer : None. I think the baud rate will be 9600, and everything else will be greyed out. Should work now.
