Just What Do You Get From TT?

Now I'm all giggly and on a roll from my new SD card success .... another question ... Just WHAT upgrades do you get with the TT 510 and for how long?

I am aware of getting the Speed ..... Oooo sorry SAFETY camera updates from this site which I am intending to setup later, but what do you actually get from TT?? My unit is about 3 weeks old and when I login with TT Home it checks and occasionally downloads updates ... but HOW LONG FOR, and WHAT is updated?? ... anyone know ... TIA

The free updates are for the Tom Tom software (i.e the programmes that produce the screen display, plot your route, track your position using the GPS receiver etc.)

How long Tom Tom will provide these is known only by Tom Tom but I guess they will stop at some point in the future when Tom Tom think it is too expensive to update software for old models.

For the record, there have been huge improvements in the software over the last couple of years since they first introduced the Tom Tom Go (and a few backward steps but mostly poitive improvements).

You will have to pay for map upgrades when they become available.
