Thanks Ash - all sorted for now I think!
Another question for you. When I use your camera manager, my 2720 downloads 2 entries for every camera! So I have now got over 22,000 cameras loaded when there are only really 10,000 'ish!
Any ideas why? When I look through my custom POIs it lists each camera twice one with a # and one without? |

One so you get a single alert at any speed to alert you to the camera regardless of speed and one so you get a alert if you continue to appraoch over the limit.
This is normal. |

Maybe it will be clearer to explain that one is for the Approach (1st) alert and the other for the Overspeed (2nd) alert. |

Ash10 - thanks for a superb piece of software! Used it with my new Nuvi 660 and it works perfectly.
Just wish the Nuvi could discriminate between co-located or closely located fixed and mobile cameras by just warning about one of them so I don't get a quadruple "bong"! _________________ Tony

If you mean that you've got two copies running in your system tray, just quit them both (using the Quit button in the settings window) - then run the application again (just the once, mind). |

Hi Ash,
Thanks for all the work you've put into the Camera Manager. Is there any way to alter the overspeed warning? I used to get a fairly constant "DING DING", but now have the warning repeating itself approximately every 5 secs. I'm not sure if this is a feature of your utility or not?
Regards, Ian. |

You can disable either/both of the approach and overspeed warnings, by setting the alert time to zero.
What you can't do however, is vary how often the overspeed warning sounds - that's dependant on your particular model of Garmin. On the i2/3/5 this is around once every second, on the Nuvi it seems to be nearer every five seconds or so. |

Many thanks Ash.
I've got a Nuvi, and it did give me an overspeed warning every second or so, but this has now changed to every 5 seconds. It must've changed with one of the Garmin updates.
Regards, Ian. |

i have a garmin i2 and am having problems with ash's software. I have windows xp and have downloaded the camera manager but it just says camera manager idle. When i try to load POI's from the garmin folder it says there aren't any in the folder.
i am using software version 3.20
Also a question- when i do load the POIs that the camera manager downloads onto the unit, will it automatically delete or overwrite ones i have loaded on before?? |

Open the settings window and have a look at what is the latest database version, and the date it was last checked. |
