Unlock Mio C710

I finally found an easy way to reinstall the maps - used activesync and transferred from the DVD backup on the HD.

I find Activesync a much snappier interface than that Mio Transfer.

Now also have the movie player installed and working too
This was all I really wanted from the hacking experience.

I note that just like hacking an Xbox there is a lot of small detail stuff missed out in the notes for hacking and adding programs etc.
Or at least it appeared that way to me....

Took me forever to (well one day) to figure out how to actually install the video player!

Anyway, I got there in the end :D

A fast and easy to understand method to unlock your C310 / C510 and C710 is the C310auto.exe method.

Other methods are also described here, but the first one i like the most.

Has anyone tried running GPS Gate and/or GPS Dash on their unlocked Cx10? If so, how did it go.

Tried to unlick my mio c310x, and everything was fine till I needed to activate keyboard - this rotated the display, but keyboard did not show up. What is wrong?
