Following the release of the 6.11 software version for the TomTom GO
510/710/910, TomTom now released an update for the Software Development
Kit (SDK) for the TomTom GO 510/710/910

The SDK costs USD 195 (like the other SDKs) and can be purchased from Handango at http://www.handango.com/tomtom/basket.jsp?addItem=187644

TomTom promised to update the website at www.tomtom.com/PRO and have made the new SDK documentation available here.

Hopefully they'll do it soon as the links there are dead end! Sad

Makayama for the x10 comes to mind.

TomTom also re-introduced the Graphical Overlay files (GF) - this will make something like POI-Observer for GOs possible.

Without the flicker? That could be quite handy..

Maybe TomTom makes the new SDK useless again if you want to upgrade to the newest version like the did with the old one.

Quote from Update March 2006 - TomTom GO 5.440:
"This update is not suitable for TomTom GO devices running applications based on the TomTom SDK (Software Development Kit). The SDK uses application versions 5.202 or 5.203."

So maybe you are stocked with a older version if you intend to use the SDK or application based on the SDK.

Indeed they are continuing that strange dance. Version 6.02 does not work well with the SDK, but version 6.110 seems to be ok. Haven't been able to test 6.100 yet.

First post updated with link to documentation.
