Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere - couldn't find a direct answer when I searched.
My i3 doesn't show any POIs in map view, either standard or whilst navigating. It seems to work with the speed cameras correctly, and if I search the POIs for a specific i.e. my local McDonalds, then click on Show Map, the icon appears. When i drove there the other day (not in navigation mode) the icon never appeared on the screen, even when I was in the car park. Is this how POIs work or am I getting something wrong/incorrect settings Question

It won't on the i3 as Garmin thought it would make the display too cluttered.

POIs should be used as destinations when navigating or via points in order for them to display.

Alternatively you can set an alert distance when you load the files via POILoader and they'll show in Map Mode. However it's very annoying after a while to have it bong at each petrol station, train station, GATSO, Tesco, McD's etc etc as you drive round town....

Thanks for the help. At least I now know that mine is working properly Laughing I can understand the fact that it would make the screen cluttered if they were on all of the time, but it would be nice if you had the option to turn them on or off without having to resort to changing the alert settings in the POI. Think I might have read something about this in the suggested improvements thread.
