i3 - Sat Locking Gone AWOL

Been a proud owner of i3 for over 3 months, updated until today with 2.50 software (now 2.70) and latest POI's - plus custom bits I've added. Trouble is the damn thing cannot locate/acquire/lock any satellites and is quite honestly useless at this point in time.

This has been the case for 1 week now - when the mapping failed mid-trip (no route plotted as knew the way, but open map mode to pick up on speed cameras etc), I had a vain hope it had just had a s/w spazm, but on upload of v2.70 today and a quick test - the beast is still flat-lining!

Has anyone any ideas - or should I pile this beast back to Maplin, hopefully still covered!!
