Hi
I've just purchased the streetpilot i3 by garmin from Maplin Electronics.
The deal included a full up to date Safety camera database from PocketworldGPS supplied on a compact disk.
Included in the box with the disk and the sat nav itself is a usb lead.
As a PC novice can someone tell me the exact steps i need to take to install the speed camera database from off the disc onto my garmin i3 sat nav please .
Cheers
Craig

Does the disc contain the POI LOADER as you will need this to install the camera database, then follow my instructions on the Dummies page.

Not a very good start here for me eh? now I see why I'm described as a 'new member' Laughing Out Loud or words to that effect.

Let me clarify the position-yes,the disc does contain the POI loader,so can someone explain what I should do next now?

Finally, can someone tell me how you 'edit'/delete a posting that you make here if u realise after that theres were mistakes in it for instance!!

Cheers all....

No you can't edit your thread ,but if you read Garmin Streetpilot for Dummies this explains how you put the poi's on to the i3, just miss out the download bits as you say you have the programs and you will be fine.

Also can u tell me how, once Ive installed the speed camera sites to the i3 how to i3 actually warns me of up coming cameras ie is it visually on the scren and also verbally, and at what distances does it warn of said speed cameras?

Here you go. MaFt's website is:
http://www.garminpoi.co.uk/

Just ignore the disk and follow the instructions on MaFt site and on these forums.
