It's got to be 320 x 240 pixels. That's the only size that will fit.

Thanks,

I was wondering about the precise size of the image.

Looking through the Google images for what I want I cannot find a 320 x 240 image - many other sizes but not this!

How can I convert an existing image to this size?

Can someone suggest what programme to use?

Alternatively, how can I scan the image to give me the correct size BMP file?

All the graphic packages I've used, including Windows Paint allows you to re-size the image. I currently use Paint Shop Pro.

I'm having problems as well. The new splash.bmp file is OK as when my 'ONE' boots up after turning on the first time after copying the file across all is well. However after that it refuses to display and I get a blank screen.

The Root of the SD Card is the Highest Level on the SD Card. It's where, in Explorer, it is listed as TomTom [D:] or something similar.

In the Root you will find Files like system, spsystem and ttsystem. you might, or might not, have a splash.bmp already there.

If you have you can either Delete or Rename it.

As far as I know, you can't send files in a PM.... Sad

One thing which often fools people is that their PC is set up by that nice Mr Gates to hide the three letter extension on "known file types".
This means that it is easy to mis-name your file "splash.bmp.bmp" without realising, AND YOU'LL NEVER SEE IT! (sorry for shouting).
To stop Windows doing this, in Windows Explorer or My Computer, go to the Tools menu / Folder Options / View Tab and UN-Tick "Hide extensions for known file types" and while you are there, select "SHOW hidden files and folders" just above it.
The above directions refer to Windows XP, they will be in a similar place on other versions but the menus may be named slightly differently.

If all that doesn't help, PM me your email address and I'll send you the file that way.
