| Trying to set a route for Swansea from near Oldham. Want to go by Bala and Aberystwyth. How do I tell the C310 about via-points? Do I use the 'detour' option? |

I dont think the C series garmins support waypoints. You cant use the detour function for this.
I used to have a garmin streetpilot 3, which did support waypoints using a "via" option. Sadly this function did not make it to my C320.
I would suggest contacting garmin technical support, I cant see a way of customizing a route to specific waypoints. |

| Thanks for that. Teach me to think before I buy! Looks like I'll be selling the 310, because the only journeys I'm likely to make where I need GPS will be ones where I want to input at least three via points. I'd better start looking again. Doooooh. |

| I would suggest you make posts on the advanced or beginners GPS forums, to confirm which units offer waypoints. |
