Hi,
I work for an environmental consulting firm in Quebec. We are looking to enhance the precision of our GPS units by doing some post-processing. Because our technicians work in the field, we would like to log the pseudorange information on pocket pc. This would require a third party software on our pocket pcs. Does anyone know of such software for Wince platforms?

No, don't think that exists. The Pocket PC may also not be powerful enough to do post processing.

Have you looked at the DeLorme Blue Logger and the DeLorme post processing software?

I don't know too much about post processing but you might be able to just log the NMEA data strings on your PPC and then upload it to a PC and do post processing like that.

You might also have a look at Trimble's website http://www.trimble.com/gps/ - they had some interesting information about the nuts and bolts of how GPS works and they do survey grade GPS systems (at a price). I don't know if it will answer your question but it might be a pointer in the right direction.

Good luck!

There is a possibility of logging the data using a software called gar2rnx (Garmin to Rinex). Rinex is the format needed to do post-processing. Post-processing can be done free of charge by sending the rinex files to the canadian minister of natural resources' precise point processing service (http://gnd.nrcan.gc.ca/csrs_e.php). I do not need the information in real-time. Therefore real-time post-processing is not neccessary.

The current problem is that i cannot give each technician a laptop. But a pocket pc is do-able. If anyone as an idea where i could find a pocket PC data logging software let me know. NMEA 0183 sentences will not do the trick, i have tried.
