If you have another Garmin GPS that came with a copy of Mapsource then it is fairly simple to download or upload waypoints from or to the i3 using this software.
For those of us that are happy to find and catalogue unsuspecting-motorist daylight-robbery-installations, er... I mean _safety_ cameras of course, this is a handy way of being able to retrieve their locations using the internally stored data that you can't actually display on the i3 itself.
I have to say, that as a fairly long term Garmin owner (about 7 years now) who has previously used more complex GPS devices, that I like the i3 a lot as it does what is needed without having you wanting to try and edit the information fields shown on the route navigation screen while peering at a tiny display down near the gear stick while trying to change gear and steer with your knees. Not that I did quite that, but you know how it is...

Seems to depend on your version of Mapsource (I've got 5.4 which does not work unfortunately... unless you know otherwise??) |

5.4? The latest is 6.9.1 so yours is quite old. The Mapsource updates are available from Garmin's support pages so I would suggest that you update. I don't think there is any reason not to. _________________ --
