|
|
One of the greatest frustrations I have is looking for a POI when it may be under different categories. Is there any way of searching for a POI by name, regardless of category? That way if if can't find it, you know that it's because it's not in the POI database and not due to searching under the srong category.
Also, when searching for a particular POI that may be in a chain, you get multiple listings of that name which no indication of location. You have to click on each one to find out which one you want. Also the names are usually cut off on the screen. Any ways around this? |

If you are talking about Custom POI's, you could merge several with a program like POIEdit. It can Open and Save in OV2 Format. _________________ Richard

TT6 on GOs allows searching of all POI files at once. Presumably the TTN version will do the same when it arrives. |

This is true. But it's not very easy to use, with a maximum of 150 Miles, and you have to be accurate with the spelling. It includes TT built-in as well as Custom Added POI's. We know how accurate the built-in data is!!
I would have preferred if it categorised by type. But where do you draw the line.
As you can gather, I don't use that facility.;) _________________ Richard
