Thought this may be of interest. Also according to a TV advert last night Argos are doing 20% of all sat nav.
No connection with Argos, just thought this might help someone. |

Opinions vary, but I think it is very good. I bought one for my wife, but would be quite happy to use it myself if I didn't already have a PDA with TomTom. _________________ Kam |

I think it is very good provided you accept that it has its limitations (what do you expect for something that is half the price of most of the competition).
It is designed to be dead simple to use and to tell you how to get from where you are to where you want to go.
It will sometimes take a less than obvious route but generally that route would be no worse than the one you would have selected. Occasionally you will find that the maps are out of date but then so will your paper based ones.
Would I recommend it - a thousand times yes - my wife can use it and it is better at giving directions than both of us. |

Yes, another satisfied customer. Had to do a couple of tricky routes in the past couple of weeks and it's come up trumps both times. The good thing is I'd also downloaded the speed camera locations, so that was a bonus. Only problem being that obviously it will alert to mobile camera sites and if there isn't one there, particularly on the motorway, it can get irksome. But that's not really anything to do with the product, more what's been downloaded.
Would definately recommend to anyone who thinks they can't afford a Sat Nav system.
And here's a top tip. If you're thinking of selling your car, what a great selling point saying it's got Sat Nav. Almost worth buying one just to sell with the car. Might make a big difference. |
