We've just got a TomTom ONE and have found that we do not seem to be able to scroll across the text of longer POIs, when displayed in the 'Find Nearby POI' screen, in the way that we used to be able to when using TTN3 with an Ipaq. This is particularly relevant to our personal POI sets (where we have got used to storing quite a lot of narrative information in POI names) however it also applies to some of the built in POI names (e.g. "King William IV Harvester" in Chigwell).

Part of the problem is that the font size used is larger than it need be. Is there a way of setting the font size smaller?

Clicking on a name causes the display to be changed to show the location of the POI with its name highlighted in a balloon. The problem with this is that the cursor is moved to the POI location and there seems to be no way of getting back to the previous cursor position (unless of course that happens to be the current GPS position.)

Consequently it doesn't seem to be possible to browse POIs conveniently. Does TomTom GO suffer from the same problem? Can anyone help, please?

On the GO, and presumably the ONE, tap and hold the screen name will reduce the font to show all the text in the name. You can slide your finger/pointer to the top of the screen to 'not select' the item, or to another to check that one.

Thanks very much, Richard. That's much better. We can now see about 60 characters or so. We'll have to learn to keep our POI names a bit shorter than we have sometimes done in the past.

It's wonderful to have names popping up so much quicker on the ONE.
