having just bought my i3 i thought i would load up all the poi's and speed camera locations following the guide on the forum
i made a folder called poi & speed camera and then unzipped the poi's and speed camera locations into there. i noticed that all the poi's were showing but the speed camera locations were stored in other folders within this folder. one of the folders was called speed zoned.
when i connect the i3 to my computer and poi loader starts up am i supposed to browse to the folder that comtains everything (so in my case it would be the poi & speed camera folder) or do i have to browse to the other folders within this folder.
the reason i ask is i just took the i3 to a few gatsos and it didnt pick up a thing.
anyone know what ive done wrong and why t isnt working?
thanks
craig

Welcome brettytopbanana

In the speed camera folder, find the csv files folder & then the other folder where you will find the right files, you will also need the 6 bitmaps from the ov2 bmp files folder but not the other files in this folder then download to your i3.
But a better way would be to use csv files from above then the bitmaps from Mafts site which also includes loads of POI's.

Forgot to mention, if you do use MaFt's files (Highly recommended) then make sure to use the CamRename.bat file which changes the csv file names to the same as MaFt's bitmaps.

Right lets try again
After you have downloaded the speed camera files from PGPSW & unzipped to a folder of your choice ie Speed Camera folder. Look for a folder called csv files, open this folder then look for the other folder wher the 6 files are & copy these to your POI & SPEED CAMERA folder.
Now go to MaFt's site & you will see a file called GarminPOIs.zip, download this file & unzip to your POI & SPEED CAMERA folder. You now should have loads of POI's, 6 bitmap camera files & the csv camera files, also a file called CamRename.bat. Click on this file & it changes the csv file names to MaFt's file names. Now download to your i3 using the Garmin POI Loader.

Create a folder on your harddrive, call it what you like, then unzip the Garmin database into new folder now connect your I3 and run POI-Loader then browse to new folder and either upload Manual or Automatic.
If you want to upload other POI's to I.3 ensure they are all in one folder.

The Garmin database as speed zoned all ready for you which includes BMP's with appropriate speeds i.e 20mph 30mph 40mph etc

Hope this clears the mud a bit Smile

Best regards

No not quite, you still need the files from PGPSW but only the 6 i mentioned earlier in the other folder as these are the only ones that work with the i3, the rest are for different sat nav systems.

Minidish is right if you are just using the other link but i prefer MaFt's files as they more condensed & with the z in front of all his files, means they are right at the bottom of all the POI's list.

Please correct me if I'm wrong or misunderstood but.....
I assume that by using the 6 bitmaps you mention you don't get a speed alert that shows the actual speed limit?
The speed zoned database has 15 bitmaps which it needs to show speed limits ranging from 20mph to 70mph and various bitmaps for various cams, i.e Mobile, Temp, Gatzo etc.

Best regards
