Hi, can anybody point me in the right direction. Embarassed
I am a beginner to downloading, and I am having a lot of trouble trying to get the Safety Camera database onto my Streetpilot c330. I have downloaded Garmin POI Loader ok, I have downloaded Camera database to PC ok, unzipped files and found all files. The problem is the last stage on the POI Loader. It always says that ' there are no data files in that directory, please specify a directory that contains at least one files with a csv file extension. I don't know what this means, and I have tried everything I know to correct this. Confused I have also printed off all available instuctions (PDF). I have looked on forums under Streetpilot but havn't found anything to help.
Waiting in anticipation, and Thanks
RenaultF1Nev.

Hi Crazylegs. Cheers for quick reply. Smile
No joy as I have already done what you have suggested. Have uninstalled/ reinstalled Garmin POI Loader 3 times incase of software, but still the same problem. Have printed off PDF instructions, which I have followed to the letter. I have defantly downloaded correct camera database. The problem is this message; There are no data files in that directory, please specify a directory that contains at least one files with a csv file extension. I don't know what this means. What is a CSV FILE EXTENTION? Can you suggest anything else.
Thank again Nev Confused

Hi renaultf1nev

When you open the Garmin poi loader, it will first find your device,on the next page it will ask you the directory where the data files can be found.
Click on browse & find the folder where you unzipped your files too, then click on the csv folder then click on other folder then ok. Click on next & it should start to install.

Hope this helps

A .csv file is one that contains columns of data that is separated by commas. In your file browser you should see these files identified as Type - csv (if you have Detail Listing selected). Also, very often you would see an Excel spreadsheet icon to the left of the file name as they are generally opened in Excel.

Thanks MELennium :D
Just the ticket, took seconds, guess its easy when you know how. Just one more thing. Do I do the same with the rest of the files in the CSV, or is that it. Will check it out for real, on roads, tomorrow.
Thanks for your help, and pointing me in the right direction. :D Wink

To crazylegs & dougconran.
Thanks also to you guys for your time and help :D

Also, just found POI UK& Ireland Software at Aspidshop.com where I got my Garmin from. Check it out £3.38 + shipping, to add all POI's (25,000) to your GPS Units. Worth a look.

Cheers Nev.
