Robert - by update do you mean the change from CS to CN on the Quest 2
Do you think that the forthcoming CS v8 will offer any more detailed mapping of Spain and Norway?

Traditionally, CN has been used for the higher end GPS systems and CS has been used for the lower end systems.
It is my understanding that the same version City Select and City Navigator products contain the same roads but the CN version contains extra data about the roads, ie the number of traffic lights per mile etc and it is supposed to be able to create better routes. _________________ Gone fishing! |

I am I correct in thinking that CN uses more of the gps's memory per square mile than CS then?? if so any idea how much??

I guess it probably does but I don't know how much. Anyone out there have City Navigator Europe v6 or v7 so we can compare? _________________ Gone fishing! |

Due to the new NT type of maps, CN takes less memory than CS. ;)
And while the Quest2 is a fine GPS, the cost of trading in the relatively new Quest1 for a Quest2 is probably too high. _________________ Robert Elsinga =8- )

Check out the coverage maps at http://coverage.digi-map.de/index.php4
CSv7 seems to be based on a mixture of Q1 and Q4/2004 maps.
Spain will probably have significantly improved coverage but not much change for Norway. _________________ Gone fishing! |
