Hi

Just thought I'd let you know about a fault that has developed on my I3, just wondered if anyone else had the same problem.

After completing a route I turned the unit off (like you do) and as it turned off the power-off noise that it makes went all funny and sort of "sketchy".

After powering it back up & keying in the next route every spoken instruction or sound from the unit sounds distorted and crap.

Have tried adjusting the volume, changing the voice language to another one then back again and also rolling back the software, none of which solve the problem.

It seems to be a problem with the speaker, almost as if there is a faulty connection to it.

Obviously I'll be retuning the unit to Garmin but just wondered if anyone else had the same problem?

Spoke too soon... Shocked

The audio on replacement unit has started to buzz and distort on volume 4/5 Evil or Very Mad

I would expect the occassional lemon for any mass-produced consumer product, but having two in a row with similar faults is worrying.

Does anybody else experience this (or similar) problems? Question

Mine does not tell me I have reached my destination, only tells me I am approaching it on the left or right!!!.
