Whoever is listing this is also telling porkies because as we all know the garmin can never be a speed camera detector as such because it only warns you of the position of speed cameras as per data downloaded to the unit so it will not detect one that has not been input via the data download!.

It appears to be the Maplin CD that accompanies all i3's (licenced from us).
If you see any more let us know and we'll file VeRO reports with eBay _________________ Darren Griffin |

No they do not. The data is our copyright, we licence it to Maplin's to accompany an i3 and the licence is not transferable.
By your thinking it's OK to buy some software, install it then sell on the disc! _________________ Darren Griffin |

yes they do but if you look at what they have sold in the past this is not the first copy they have sold so me thinks they are copying it and selling it on in that case they dont have every right to sell it at all |

And just for clarity, our licence with Maplins extends to the initial purchaser only, the licence is NOT transferable nor may it be sold. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Is the licence agreement pointed out in the sale literature? If not it is Maplins problem to solve! A customer is free to sell on purchases as long as it is not in breach of the original sale agreement. This is the basis of a capitalist society.
I agree if they are selling multiple copies it is dodgy, BUT, this is freely available information, and as far as I can gather has no copyright or IP warnings attached should you get it from the net.
It is no different to me selling you a list of websites that may interest you, having done the rersearch. All sites are publicly available but I have done research into your area of interest and it is a charge for my time.
Why do people hate enterprise?
If the item is the original and not a copy whats the prob? Even if it is a copy, to show the logos is not bad if the info is freely available and distributed publicly with no reestrictions on use.

Can't be bothered, your argument has no basis in reality. _________________ Darren Griffin |

My point was, do Maplins make customers aware of the restrictions? That post does not mention anything on the cd about agreements.
Personally, I admire the sellers enterprise, if they can make a few bucks from people guilable enough to buy from ebay without searching first, and providing it is legal, good on them
caveot emptor!
or some other public school taught shite you can put in agreements to keep you in business :D (lawyers especially) |

It's not legal. It's theft, no different from copying a music CD and selling it on, do you have difficulty seeing the comparison? _________________ Darren Griffin |
