Firmware updates and saved places?

Quick question - does upgrading the firmware, or loading / reloading POIs remove / destroy any places you've saved?

i updated my firmware to 2.60 and put on p.o.i and my saved places are all still on the i3 hope this helps

I updated from 2.50 to 2.60 but it froze on certain points so i changed back to 2.50. I found why it was freezing and remedied this(see another thread), anyway i thought i would update again to 2.60 to check for freezing & everything was fine.
But when i went to use it this morning, i had lost all my favourites. I think it might have been when i reverted back over.
I have just updated to firmware 2.70 & replaced all my lost favourites, it took me awhile to replace them, however i have not had time to try out the new update yet.
