Playing with my (newly replaced) i3 today, 2.6 software.

NOTE - FOLLOWING AT OWN RISK...

If you hold the left button down while turning it on you get a debug menu with all sorts of info on - move from screen to screen with the left button, middle button does things, power to turn off again.

Has satellite view as well as other info - has anyone else found this?

More menus - second page, press each button in turn (little dots light up bottom right) and then OK (click wheel)

Note that clearing NVR deletes all your custom points...

The temperature is an internal reading which is used to make minor corrections to compensate for the temperature drift of the internal clock (which must be accurate to microseconds) and isn't generally useful for telling you how warm it is.

Don't clear the NVRAM or it will take ages to reaquire the sats. If you do, you need to go to a clear area with good sky view and wait 5-15 minutes to get all the orbit information downloaded again.

I'd like to see the satellite view as an option once the I3 has booted up. Always nice to know how many sats are in the air above you Smile

Pretty much all the Garmin GPS units up until now have had this feature. Perhaps someone would like to write to Garmin and ask them why they have hidden the feature. (Probably to avoid confusing people who just want to see "signal bar" type status information).
