Quite a few people have said that they didn't get a USB drivers CD with their i3. Mine came from Maplins and the CD was included.
Mods: any chance of a poll here to see who's in the majority?

No, just the USB drivers which you can download from Garmin's site anyway.

Good idea to start a different thread on this.
Like I say elsewhere, I got mine from Dixons (internet) and it didn't have CDs. Evereything else was there. (other than batteries ) |

So are retailers opening the sealed boxes and stuffing them with different things for different people ??????!!!!!!! Tends to dent your confidence that this is coming straight from the manufacturer, doesn't it ? |

I opened an i3 box today, and can confirm that the latest i3's to come out of Garmin HQ have an official Garmin Driver CD.
Other retailers mentioned in this thread are probably still selling their first large batch from Garmin which didn't have CDs. |

If the CD only has USB drivers on it, I'm not sure that those of us without are missing much. It's pretty easy to download them from the Garmin site and if they change the CDs are useless anyway. |

Got mine from PC World & included a CDR with USB drivers and links to Garmin website - found it a bit strange to receive a CDR with felt tip writing though........ |

That does sound a bit odd... I can't see Garmin including a CD 'labelled' in this manner, and just wonder if it could perhaps have been added by a previous purchaser, who then returned the unit.
I bought an i3 from Comet last weekend, and the CD was a proper 'commercial' job in a plastic sleeve, inside a printed cardboard folder. The firmware was 2.4, which I have already 'updated' to 2.5.
I purposely didn't go for 2.6 as a few users have reported problems with this version. |

I emailed garmin about the missing cd and they replyed that it only contained the usb drivers and they offered me the download link.
I use a Mac 99% of the time so this is usless anyway, I have to switch on my dusty old crappy dell to connect to my i3
Be good if garmin supported macs, I think an email is coming on... |
