Got my i3 a few days ago followed the installation via cd, but no sign of Mapinstall on pc. Whare / how do I get it ? |

you can get the garmin poi loader from the garmin site..dont know what 'mapinstall' is... _________________ *************************** |

Was this information about mapinstall on the usb driver cd that you got with the i3?
I believe mapinstall is for thr ique series onlly. |

Mapinstall is mentioned (and explained) in the full i3 user guide PDF, downloadable from http://www.garmin.com/manuals/917_OwnersManual.pdf
This is much more comprehensive that the cut-down multi-lingual version shipped with the UK product - you would think they'd at least supply it on CD!
I'm guessing that only US users get the Mapinstall DVD - the UK version only includes the USB drivers CD, as the OP mentions.
