Ive heard that its possible for this bt recever to get a fix whilst moving but if I'm driving my receiver refuses to lock to sats. Does anyone else have this problem? I have updated the firmware to 1.1.3.

Should be possible but it depends on many things. If you're receiver is in a car that has poor signal already perhaps because of an athermic windsreen then this may make the chances of aquiring sat lock whilst moving that much harder.

Thanks for that reply Darren but I've noticed that once a fix has been made the signal strength and number of satelites being tracked is more than adequate. I was just wondering, do you know if the BT-338 has undergone any hardware revisions since it came to the market? My serial number is 5195. I know that Globalsat updated the firware to 3.1.1 from serial's 28,000 upwards.

Do you think it is feasable that not only the firmware has been improved since it came out? I might try to get it swapped if the later units obtain fixes more quickly as it can be a real pain sometimes. :x

I've got S/N 321 still running the original firmware and its Ok so I doubt it's that.

Hav you tried a test such as putting it in the rear window and seeing if the same symptoms of slow lock or no lock whilst moving are present? What vehicle do you have?

Failing that I'd send it to EasyDevices for the firmware upgrade, device serials from 852 -28000 are eligible for the upgrade.

Good tip. I'll see if I can get a fix with it in the rear window tomorrow morning. I drive a Honda civic 2003 and the unit is fresh back from Easy Devices. Ive had the firmware updated and to be honest I havent noticed any improvement in performance. I'll let you know how I get on...
