The same in Preston I hear.

However if it is true that our speedo's are set to read high and we slightly tip over the speed limit we should not have a problem.

I designed a speedo calibrator for Lucas about 15 years ago & EU rules say private cars have to be set 3% fast & Police cars low but forgotten the %. So saying, Police calibrate theirs as tyre wear can easily give 2% error

Most of the time my car speedo lags consistantly behind the read out on tomtom, however on my trip to toys r us today I noticed for a long time the tomtom was reading higher than my speedo, I thought it may have been a sat fixing problem but it was consistantly higher and not fluctuating at all. After a while it suddenly jumped back to what I was used to seeing. How Odd!?
