My father owns a GO710 which he hasn't updated in a long time. I have looked at the software version which is V 6.525. Can any one tell me whether it is worth updating and whether such an update will cause any problems.
On another subject they are going to France soon and hope to take the TT with them. The French have banned Sat Navs with speed camera info on them. Is there a way of disabling the camera info on the GO 710.

I'm guessing that the 710 hasn't been updated and even hasn't got an up to date Europe map??
The original TomTom cameras can all be seen in the Europe folder using Windows Explorer. To delete ONLY the French cameras, delete all files named RADAR_FR. If he's also going to Switzerland, delete their cameras too - RADAR_CH.
If you want rid of ALL the TT cameras, the rest are ...
