please help!! c500 rom update & TomTom

Hi there,

i just upgraded my spc c500 rom update to 4.2.1.1 from orange website, but cannot seem to install my tom tom mobile

i have it on my memory card and install the plugin onto the memory card from tomtom so it works with spv c500,

but i cannot seem to pair it with my bluetooth, the instructions about 'BT SerialPortSetup' and com 7 dont seem to apply to the new version on my phone, where us bt serial port setup?

these are the instructions i did it from before: please advise me what i am doing wrong, thanks:

• Transfer the data off the standard SD card onto a 128mb mini SD card
• Connect your SPV to your computer via your data cable and run a software patch that makes TomTom work with the SPV (which I can supply you with at no extra charge, if you win my item - email me to remind me if you do win/buy it now).
• Connect your GPS Receiver by following steps 1 to 10: -
• 1) Delete all bluetooth pairings you have on your phone
• 2) Go into configuration, then into 'BT SerialPortSetup and disable outbound COM7 and OK
• 3) Go back and re-enable COM7
• 4) Turn the phone off and back on
• 5) Go in and re-enable COM7 again (it's unchecked)
• 6) This will throw you into Bluetooth pairing
• 7) Create a new bond and pair key
• 8) Before doing anything else, power cycle phone
• 9) Go back in and double check that COM7 is now enabled under Configuration
• 10) Now use any GPS application and it should work.

you just pair the reciever and it will work

in the new rom version i didnt have to enable any com ports

i have ttmobile 5

the big problem was to get tt to install

i ran the update then installed tt before any thing else
it then worked fine

what do u mean installed tomtom b4 anything else? tomtom 5 is the only program on my phone. it is on the memory card, put it in the phone - then what, there is no icon in the menu anywhere, have tried formatting memory card and installing it again but there is no icon in the menu, is there some tomtom plugin to install that i have missed or something?

If you don't have the Tomtom BT GPS that comes with the official bundle then we're not here to help you set up a pirated copy bought for a couple of quid off eBay. Sorry.
