|
|
Hey
I udated my tom tom go with the latest speed camera database with the pictures of the actual speed limits for the cameras on it. BUT the problem is the speed only flashes up for a few seconds and then it changes to the normal camera logo!
I just want the speeds to flash when approaching a camera and NOT the general warning as I may miss the speed and not hear the audio warning and have no clue what speed I am meant to be go at in that area... so is there anyway of just getting the speed flashing up for each camera and not having the general camera logo appear at all? Thanks. |

Sounds like you have both the speed-zoned cameras AND the overall database installed so BOTH are giving you alerts.
Check you have these ov2 files / bmp files AND ONLY THESE in your map folder:
pocketgps_uk_gatso_20
pocketgps_uk_gatso_30
pocketgps_uk_gatso_40
pocketgps_uk_gatso_50
pocketgps_uk_gatso_60
pocketgps_uk_gatso_70
pocketgps_uk_gatso_tba
pocketgps_uk_mobile_20
pocketgps_uk_mobile_30
pocketgps_uk_mobile_40
pocketgps_uk_mobile_50
pocketgps_uk_mobile_60
pocketgps_uk_mobile_70
pocketgps_uk_mobile_tba
pocketgps_uk_redlight
pocketgps_uk_specs
pocketgps_uk_temp
plus, if you want the continental cameras:
pocketgps_continental.ov2
You do not need:
pocketgps_uk_sc.ov2
pocketgps_uk_gatso.ov2
pocketgps_uk_mobile.ov2 |

Thanks! I had more than I needed and that sorted it out! Brilliant! Thanks again!
I have two more questions however - firstly oddly enough the audio warnings are no longer occuring for the cameras even though when I check that they are enabled they are still enabled and so should go off...
And second the unknown speed cameras around london and various other places - how come they are unknown? That is a general question and the answer is prob stupidly obvious but I am asking anyway! Thanks. |

That is because the camera location is known but nobody has informed the maintainer of the database as to the speed limit to enable it to be put in the correct speed related file.
So if you go past any of these cameras, make a note of the speed limit and send an email to cameras@pockectgpsworld.com giving the camera Id No. and the speed limit. It will then be removed from the TBA list. _________________ Graham.
