I have just upgraded to Tomtom Navigator 5, & have tried installing the Speed Camera database. When I run the Checkpoint program, it finds the CHECKPOINT.OV2 file and the pocketgps_uk_sc.ov2, which are both enabled. When I launch the Navigator program, it doesn't appear in the POI menu.
Has anybody managed to get the database working with Tomtom Navigator 5 yet ? and if so how.
Thanx |

I think that you will find that Checkpoint does not work with TT5 yet. Here is a quote from the checkpoint website.

A lot of people ask if CheckPOInt works in combination with the new TomTom Navigator 5.0.
The short answer is: no.
Until now TomTom has not released a software development kit for version 5.0. Until they do, it's not possible to release a new version of CheckPOInt that can cooperate with TomTom 5.0. |

Ok so you can't use Checkpoint, but this handy article will tell you what you can do to get TTN5 to recognise POI's and even speak them!
