Firmware 5 and Maps Of Western Europe

Will the new firmware permit all the Maps Of Western Europe to be displayed at once on my Tom Tom Go with a 1gb card, as currently I have to switch when going from France into Belguim and then Holland.

It's not firmware - it's just software.

the map size is independent anyhow, but you can only have all of Europe on the GO 700 (which has an integrated 2GB HD). The maps are bigger than 1 GB.

We've just seen some 2GB SD cards though ;-)

I can get all the maps, except Spain on a 1gb disk.

I was just hoping that with the new firmware, it could read the whole of the 1gb disk withouit having to change maps.

I assume therefore that if you have several maps on a disk, that you will still need to "change maps", even with firmware 5.0.

The ATP 2GB SD Card has now been out for a while i think.
