A gentle request - it's easier to read posts in mixed case. All capitals on the Internet is normally regarded as shouting.
I believe that you'll have to choose, in that I don't think the product code for the TomTom Navigator 3 USA maps will activate the maps on Go, and I doubt that a product code for USA maps for Go will activate those maps on TomTom Navigator 3.
I have a product code for TomTom Navigator 2004 HP Edition with full European coverage. I can't use that product code to activate the detailed maps of countries other than Great Britain in Navigator 3. I expect the same situation is present with Go in place of Navigator 2004 HP Edition, and USA maps instead of full European maps.
Maybe someone will be able to give a definitive answer for your scenario.

The maps come with a Product Code, and the same rules apply as for any other TomTom activations. If you buy second hand, you could have to wait up to 180 days to use the Product Code to activate your device for the USA maps, depending on when the Product Code was last used to activate a new device.
TomTom discourage anyone from buying their software second hand.
