I found the postcode POI very useful
http://www.timodonnell.co.uk/ttg/

However, it would be preferable if they were catergorised into letters i.e.
AtoD
EtoH

Then I wouldn't have any trouble knowing which file the postcode was in.

Is this possible.
I would do it myself, however I can find anything that will open up the files
(apart from Tom Tom Go)

You're in luck!

If you can wait a little longer your wish will be granted. They will also include missing codes.

Tim will post on this forum when all is ready.

I've downloaded the speed camera database and postcode info and saved them as directed on the website but my TTG has not acknowledged them. Please is there anything I need to do?

Assuming you have them in the GB Map folder, go to Change Preferences/Page 2/Maintain POI/Enable POI - tick all POI's that you want to display.

You will find it easier to use the keyboard to type in PO and then scroll from there. When you've enabled what you want, you can also set up Warn When Near for the camers from the same page.

I wouldn't enable the Posr Codes as they will fill the screen. They can still be used to Navigate To - or Find while in Browse Map.

Hope this helps.

Have you got a new and bigger SD card? The full set postcodes won't fit on the original 128 Mb card.

The Post Code is in the file but the Trading Estate isn't shown. If you want to find it with TT Navigate to .. use Darlington/Forge Way/Cleveland Street. It's a short step up Forge Way.

I noticed this, and the possible reason is that there seems to be some maximum for the NUMBER of databases you can have. I had to delete some of my less useful databases in order to get the postcodes to be recognized. I now no longer know how to get to my local Vauxhall Dealer...

Try deleting some of your other databases and see if that works.
