|
|
Hi
Along with the latest (and greatest! :D ) safety camera files there are some .wav files in a sub-folder. Maybe a daft question but where do these go? I ask because I wonder whether the new data.chk file does it all or whether BOTH the .wavs and the .chk are required.
Brilliant service! Thanks a lot! |

Hi,
It does depend on your SatNav product. What are you using?
If you're using TTGO then the .WAV files are unnecessary for you.
Please update your profile location and add a signature with details of your SatNav set-up. It does help us to answer your questions.

Thanks for your question TomRob
I was also wondering if the new .wav files were now able to provide a voice with the speed limit.
The info seems to be there in the POI binarys and there are gifs with 20 to 70 in them.
At the moment the two directories are lying below the main GP maps directory.
Is this the correct place for them?
Also do I need a new version of the plug-in software to hear them?
Greta product with supurb support... thankyou. _________________ TomTom Start 25 M UK & ROI

Hi tomrob,
If you want better GATSO warnings than the standard TTGO ones, then you might like to look at this article about the PocketGPSWorld custom TTGO POI warnings.
Thanks for updating your location and signature!

Hi,
I too am vexed as to where the wave files go for my MIO 168 (256MB SD). I have moved them to various folders and run demos without success. I also put them with the TomTom turn calls but still no joy. Having read the last post-its on this subject I'm not sure what you mean by signatures, etc. Any tips for me gents

Hello TVM,
Have a look at the post above from Graham (xda).
As regards your signature, just click the Profile at the top of the forum page, then under your your signature, give a brief description of the gps system you are using, and also in the location box, your general area, this helps other poster in the forum help you with your questions. |
