It's not real London, it's Greater London

I was just a bit confused, if the station is in surrey and TTG shows as in London, shouldn't TTG list the station in both surrey and London for the city option?

I lived in Wallington for years, and it's a bit confusing...

It's written as Wallington, Surrey. However, you have to drive about 2 or 3 miles to actually pass the "Welcome To Surrey" sign.

Also, it's part of the London Borough Of Sutton and has an 0208 phone code.

Therefore, technically, it's in London (well, Greater London), not Surrey, and TomTom is correct (for once)

I'd argue that both are correct. Wallington's postal address is Wallington, Surrey, just as Coulsdon's, just up the road, is Coulsdon, Surrey. Neither have London postcodes, both are in London boroughs but both are in the county of Surrey.

Well, Sutton has an SM postcode (Sutton & Merton - which are both London boroughs), and Coulsdon has a CR Postcode (Croydon - also a London borough). Therefore the confusion continues, as the postcode implies a London borough, yet Surrey is written on the address.

I blame the Royal Mail.

Nah, blame the Government (of the day). Historically London was partitioned between the various Home Counties, which is why, for instance, Surrey play County Cricket at The Oval (as well as at Guildford). Take Kingston Upon Thames; it is a London Borough, doesn't have a London postcode but does have a London telephone prefix and is the seat of Surrey County Council! Then there's Middlesex which seems to have disappeared as a county, yet they still have a County Cricket team who play at Lord's! So it's all due to the expansion of London. I live near Gatwick, on the Surrey\Sussex border and my London-dwelling sister-in-law tells me I live in London. Mind you, the way Surrey is being forced to build thousands upon thousands of new homes by New Labour, I might as well be. Sad

You get overlaps anyway. Ask people on the Suffolk/Norfolk border.

Some live in Suffolk with NR post code and quite a few live in Norfolk with an IP code!!

Surrey is the County The TT Go gives you it this way so you don't go to Wallington in Hertfordshire or Wallington in Hampshire.

So the TomTom Go is making sure you GO to the correct county

No, but there's a Wallington Station listed under Surrey in TomTom Go

That's exactly what I am trying to say. TTG lists Wallington Station as in London and not in Surrey.

TTG doesn't list Wallington Station under Surrey, its listed under London, otherwise I wouldn't have been asking this question.
