Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the recent destinations stored on the TTG. The recent desitinations can prove useful but can be very annoying when the location gets very full of recent places you have visited.
Thanks

It does exactly what it says on the tin :D
Why is it such a problem? The 'Recent Destinations' is a separate category on the 'Navigate To' menu, so if you don't want to see them, don't press the icon...just use 'Address' or 'POI' or 'Favourite' |

Thanks Sniff
I know how to use it but I just wanted to know if the places in the recent destination can be deleted. Just wondering if it will keep adding and eventually taking up memory on the SD card. I use POI's and favourites all the time but sometimes I go places where I use once and never need to know it again and then it is stored forever on the recent destinations
Many thanks

The recent destinations only holds 24 and then it drops the oldest. |

Maybe there's a file somewhere that could be deleted, but with only 24 entries, it's not going to take up much space on the card. I'd forget about it |

I never really thought of this before... but the recent destination list could cause trouble in a relationship!
What if you were going somewhere to pick up a surprised birthday present... or even worse still, going somewhere for a bit of the other!!!!!
I don't really want to go into a moral conversation... but when you sell a product that is designed to be portable and shareable there should be a way of deleting your history!
As it stands I can imagine that there will be certain situations where someone would revert back to old paper maps purely because they don't want their destination logged.... and that is just daft!
I have also noticed that when you browse the map... it always returns to the last place you were looking at... and not your current position! (also very deadly) |

You could always cheat again, and put in 24 new destinations!!! The last one would give a new browse location.
The other alternative is - don't cheat. |

Don't you think that solution is a bit drastic? |

Is it really a problem?
My TTG would show all sorts of places which I've never been to!
For example, in order to contribute to another thread - where someone complained about not being able to navigate to a particular London postcode - I turned on my TTG and entered the specified address. I don't imagine I'd get too much grief from SWMBO if she discovered that address in my TTG. |

Nice one! It looks like you have really thought of some excuses before you get into trouble! |
