Hi
I am new to this site and have just ordered a TomTom Go. Sorry if this has been answered before but I have tried searching for an answer.
I want to put the safetycamera database on my TomTom when it arrives. Do I need a bigger memory card or can I make do with the supplied one?
Also, I go to a lot of football matches. Are the football grounds for the main clubs already stored on the TomTom or do I need to load them on? I gather it comes with quite a lot of POI's already - is this true?
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

You will be able to put the camera database onto your card as it comes providing the software versionis 4.4 sometimes the tomtom version is not the latest release 4.42 which you can download and install you may get an error when installing 4.42 saying not enough room on card so remove all foreign Lang voices and then install 4.42 and copy the safety camera dbase onto your card into the gbmaps folder.. |

Thanks for that advice. I am pleased I do not have to buy a new memory card. |

Yes, it comes with lots of different categories of POI, including one called "Stadiums" - which seems to include most football and rugby grounds. For example if you tell it to navigate to a POI of Category Stadium, and then type in "Ply" it will offer you Plymouth Argyle football stadium. From what I can see, these are listed by the Club name rather than Stadium name. For example, it seems to know about Birmingham City but not St. Andrews. |
