|
|
Hi Guys.
Just spent a very pleasant 2 hours trying to connect my Ipaq 4150 to my wifes Motorola V500 via bluetooth so that I can use Traffic. Finally got a conection, but whenever I try to update traffic I get "Cannnot conect to TomTom".
I have tried the test web page but again I get an error message "The page you are looking for cannot be found". Have tried other pages but get same answer.
Any ideas where I may have gone wrong?
By the way, connecting via Orange. Ipaq says I have a connection and so does phone.
All the best

All I can suggest is posting the settings you've put into your Pocket PC for Orange GPRS - whilst you think you have a connection, it's not working with anything on the Pocket PC by the sound of it.

I have a similar problem.
Blue Tooth GPRS works fine between PDA and Phone when just browsing. As soon as I start Navigator the phone loses the BT Connection to the PDA. I am assuming it is because of something that happens when Navigator tries to find the GPRS Receiver.

How are you starting the GPRS connection? If it's via autodialling from a program like Pocket Internet Explorer, which you're then closing, that will close the connection.
I found that TomTom Navigator can't autodial successfully on Pocket PC 2003, but will autodial on Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition.
If you need to connect manually, then, assuming Pocket PC 2003, tap the two arrows icon to the left of the speaker icon, then tap on the blue 'phone number' in the pop-up (which may take a few seconds to appear). You can do the same thing to hang up the connection.

I have now finally got everything working. After checking all the setting with Orange I was mucking about by myself and I found that somehow a setting had been entered in the proxy server box. When I removed it everything worked fine.
I find that a soft reset is sometimes needed to get it working after a disconnect.
Thank you all the replies
