If I was to buy that Aldi PDA/GPS bundle, could I put Tom Tom 3 on it? Would it work ok or would I have to stick with the software that comes with it?
Thanks in advance for any help :D |

I've decided to buy this on thursday but my cousin (who has a HP IPAQ H1940 with TTN3) says its a poor product and thinks I'm going to regret it. Is he just jealous because he paid over £500 for his GPS package and this is half the price or is he justified?
Thanks again for any help :D |

It's a good PDA, a little plasticky but otherwise fine, lacks bluetooth and removeable battery but that's it. I reviewed it as part of the CoPilot package here. _________________ Darren Griffin |

GlennMR2 - you can play MP3's on this device (It's a re-badged Mitac Mio 168) and it comes with Mitac's own MP3 player.
You are limited to the size of the SD cards you put in it for MP3 storage but you can happily have 64Mb - 1Gb sized SD cards and of course as many of those as you would want.
I'm not sure of the Guidance software in this package but can assure you that the Mio 168 is a great little PDA in it's own right and that the built in GPS Reciever performs very well.
i us the Navman Pin variant running Navman SmartST V2 and Memory Map os 2004 on it and it works very well.
I don't use it but have heard that TomTom 3 runs equally as well. _________________ Silva MultiNavigator

If battery is not user replaceable, how else one changes battery? It is not going to last for ever is it? _________________ TRUST BUT VERIFY |

Indeed it is not, when it dies unless a battery spare part can be sourced then it will be toast.
However, even with moderate use it should last three years. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Same PDA Hardware (a Mitac Mio 168) but the software is Falk Navigator. I don't have any personal experience of it but user reports suggest it is functional if a little basic. _________________ Darren Griffin |

You can't do that as firstly it's not legal and secondly you need a unique unlock key which only comes with new software. _________________ Darren Griffin |
